Re:Builders is a fully-funded six-month learning programme designed for small to medium construction businesses in the West Midlands who are looking to better understand how built environment and construction sectors can rapidly adapt to and navigate the material and climatic futures we face.
Supported by Innovate UK, and brought to you by Fircroft College the programme will be delivered in collaboration with CIVIC SQUARE, Dark Matter Labs and Material Cultures as a fully funded course. Working alongside further education colleges in the region, the programme seeks to develop new approaches to providing bespoke training and innovation support to businesses across a range of key sectors in the region.

Re:Builders will consist of a series of hands-on skills bootcamps, learning visits and mentorship from practitioners who are at the forefront of innovations moving us towards post-carbon futures and possibilities for their built environment. This programme is an opportunity for you and your organisation to:
- Learn how to identify and build regenerative design principles, skills, and practices into your business in order to meet the construction needs of the 21st century.
- Develop a comprehensive organisational needs assessment to best understand where your business is now, how these principles and practices might start to be embedded.
- Gain tailored support to build an action plan that will guide the transformation and future-proofing of your construction business and practices.
- Develop a working knowledge of natural and bio-based construction materials through hands-on building sessions.
- Understand emerging opportunities for your business to contribute to the social and climate transitions necessary in the West Midlands.
- Share, learn, deliberate and collaborate with an ecosystem of connected and aligned peers from the industry.
