So many of the current team and many of the partners we are inspired by have often struggled to recruit directly into roles with traditional job titles, roles and responsibilities that match things we are more used to in organisations. Instead, they have discovered new combinations of skills, passions, and questions, missions they are deeply inspired by, through being proximate, and figuring out how they connect together, and how that contributes to their work. This is of course very hard to recruit for through traditional job applications, and even more difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic when often it's more difficult to meet new people amongst communities of practice, at events and in person experiences, or imagine what could be possible over a coffee.
You might have years of practice in something we are looking for. You might be deeply passionate but not sure whether you have the skills. You might be highly specialised, or a jack of all trades. You might think you are under qualified, or over qualified. We would love to hear from you, human to human, if there is something about our work and mission that you connect with.
This application portal allows you to tell us about you, what drives you, what you are inspired by, what difference you hope to make in the world, perhaps share your portfolio, CV, past work, so we can start to imagine possibilities together. It also means we might pair you with a role we have advertised or coming up, that we might never have imagined before meeting each other. We will also host some spaces for you to come and find out more about the roles we have advertised, roles we have coming up, or just a short coffee to find out more about each other.
Of course, we can't always promise there will be a role or a way to work together, or that this will happen quickly, but we can promise to listen, to never discard what you share with us or dismiss a relationship that could grow in the future, and to signpost you to relevant opportunities as something comes up. We can also (with your permission) share opportunities from our partners working in similar spaces, if this is something that might support your journey.
