Check In Question: Storytelling
<aside> 📚 What was your favourite book, film or TV series as a child? Why did that story appeal to you so much?

<aside> 📚 If your day today was a story, would it have been a story of tragedy or triumph? How are you feeling as you land here today?

Creative Play: Mini Memoir - The Story of Your Day
<aside> 📝 Invite everyone to take a minute to create a title page for their memoir. The title can be funny or surreal, reflect on your experience of the day or week.
For example ‘A Very Complicated Pancake: A Memoir by Aliyah Norrish’.
Take turns to formally announce your titles to the group. The more formal, the sillier this activity becomes.

Story Spectrum: A Story of Hope or a Story of Fear
<aside> 🌈 Describe a line from one end of the room to the other. One end of the line is a Story of Hope, and the other is a Story of Fear.
Invite everyone to stand on this spectrum where they feel they are at present, when they think of the economy. Do you think of a ‘story of hope’ or a ‘story of fear’?
Invite people to share why they chose that position on the line. What is the story you think of? Why does it give you hope or fear?
Invite people to move up and down the spectrum line as they feel moved to while people are sharing, and let the conversation flow for as long as it feels exciting for the group or offer people the chance to integrate what came up later.
Notice the overall level of hope and fear in the room. Can you use the session to explore what might move us towards hope or how we can process and work with stories of fear?
